What the Media doesn’t tell you – A unique perspective on Israel/Palestine – 24th November

Yahav ZoharWhen: 24 November ยท 12:00 – 13:00
Where: 7 George Square, Room S.1, University of Edinburgh

Edinburgh Uni SJP has lined up a fantastic, not to be missed event!

We are hosting Yahav Zohar, a young, dynamic, Israeli, involved in activism against the occupation of Palestine. Among many other activities on the ground, Yahav leads political tours around Jerusalem for the Israeli Committee against House Demolitions.

This promises to be a fantastic opportunity to hear from, and question, a young Israeli on the current situation in Israel/Palestine and the prospects of peace in the region. Yahav is a fantastic speaker and it really is a unique opportunity – don’t miss it!!

Students protest against Israeli occupation

Students have staged a silent protest outside the Main Library at Edinburgh University to highlight the effects of the Israeli occupation on Palestinian students as part of Edinburgh University Student Association’s Right to Education Week.

Similar protests were taking place simultaneously in universities across Scotland yesterday.

Edinburgh University Students’ Association is twinned with Birzeit University Student Union in the West Bank, where the Right to Education campaign is based.
